Ride Along, released in January 2014, is an action comedy about a ride along of a security guard trying to prove himself to his girlfriend’s brother, a top cop. This movie was directed by Tim Story, the director of other great comedies, like: Barbershop, Think Like a Man and Think Like a Man Too and the remarkable Fantastic Four. Starring actors are: Ice Cube, Kevin Hart, John Leguizamo, Bruce McGill, Tika Sumpter, Bryan Callen, Laurence Fishburne, Dragos Bucur, Gary Owen, Jacob Latimore, Jay Pharoah, Benjamin Flores Jr., Greg Rementer.
This movie had an estimated budget of $25m and managed to almost double that amount in earnings, making more than $48m over the opening weekend only!
Storyline
Ben must prove he is good enough to date cop James’ sister. By doing this he goes on a “Ride Along” to show that he is not weak and he will do whatever it takes to get James’ approval but along the way runs into a few obstacles that he has to overcome in a very funny way. Written by kcquail
