The Lone Ranger, released in 2013, is a western movie about an Indian named Tonto and John Reid - also known as Lone Ranger - and their teamwork in bringing down Butch Cavendish and other Old West outlaws. This movie was directed by Gore Verbinski, which directed three of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies starring Johnny Depp. Cast has actors like: Johnny Depp, Armie Hammer, William Fichtner, Tom Wilkinson, Ruth Wilson, Helena Bonham Carter, James Badge Dale, Bryant Prince, Barry Pepper, Mason Cook, JD Cullum, Saginaw Grant, Harry Treadaway, James Frain, Joaquín Cosio.
Budget for this movie was estimated somewhere near $215 m, but only managed to raise near $30 m in the opening weekend.
Storyline
In the 1930s, an elderly Tonto tells a young boy the tale of John Reid, the Lone Ranger. An idealistic lawyer, he rides with his brother and fellow Texas Rangers in pursuit of the notorious Butch Cavendish. Ambushed by the outlaw and left for dead, John Reid is rescued by the renegade Comanche, Tonto, at the insistence of a mysterious white horse and offers to help him to bring Cavendish to justice. Becoming a reluctant masked rider with a seemingly incomprehensible partner, Reid pursues the criminal against all obstacles.
